Welding & Forging Practice: Fine & Functional Art in Steel

Using basic fabrication and blacksmithing techniques, students will engage in creative composition and the mixing and matching of 'form and function’ to drive the completion of an art piece.Students will select from an array of scrap metals and standard steel stocks and are encouraged to bring found or reclaimed material that interests them. For beginners who wish to learn the basics and for those with experience who want to expand their capacity in design and technique.
