Underglaze Photorealism

Taught by:

Learn how to represent detailed and dynamic monochromatic imagery on ceramic surfaces with underglaze. Start by making forms and molds as Juan shares his unique process for painting powerful vignettes. Learn about image transfer and lay-out, pointillism brushwork, and watercolor techniques. In-depth techniques include capturing delicate visual textures such as fur and feathers and tips for realistic rendering. Whether experienced in drawing or entirely new to realism, add image rendering to your tool set and expand what you can do. All levels welcome.

NOTE: In this session, some work will be bisque fired, and some may be eligible for post workshop bisque firing. See details here.
