Teapot: Tradition & Innovation

Hand thrown teapots are one of the trickiest yet most rewarding forms to make. In this three day class Maya Machin will take students through the process of designing the body, spout, handle, and lid, and then constructing a cohesive pot that functions well and is aesthetically pleasing. Considerations will include proportions, dripless spouts, weight, and balance. Basic wheel skills preferred. Some work may be bisque fired post workshop, with shipping for an additional fee.
