Cork is a healthy, renewable resource that supports many ecologically sound systems of production and agriculture, as well as performing in ways no other material can. Learn about what cork is, where it comes from, its applications throughout history, and how it can be used to make useful objects for the home. Techniques for using cork with woodworking tools will be demonstrated, and students will apply these techniques to create useful objects including home accessories, jewelry, and small furniture.
