Natural Rim Vessels
Taught by:
Well-designed and finely-proportioned natural rim vessels are one of the most rewarding shapes to make on a wood lathe. A beginner can develop an entry level of skill, or for experienced woodworkers, the form allows mastery of fine tool control for side grain vessels. Instruction and discussion will include the importance of properly shaped and sharpened tools, developing one's eye for design, and of course, practicing. All levels welcome for an inspiring week. No supply fee; an instructor kit fee of $40 is payable during the class.
