Metalsmithing: Forged & Fabricated Objects

Taught by:

Explore metal (copper, brass, silver) as a medium, and fabrication, the process of creating dimension through bending, cutting, and assembling components. Learn foundational techniques such as sawing and piercing, finishing, soldering, and patina. By heating and hammering metal, experiment with simple forging techniques using copper, and silver if desired. Projects can include household objects and utensils -- but any small scale form or function can be explored. Forged and fabricated embellishments will turn your creations into treasured one of-a-kind objects. All levels welcome.
