Japanese Woodblock Printing

This workshop offers a comprehensive introduction to the wonderful range of tools, techniques, and materials used in the traditional Japanese woodblock printing method of moku hanga. Students will engage in multiple-block design and carving and learn to print using water, brushes, and a hand-held baren. Everyone will complete a multicolor print and learn tricks to adapt new skills to other art-making techniques. No supply fee; an instructor kit fee of $85 is payable during the class.
