Fragments & Found: Feltmaking Assemblage

Taught by: 

Dig into your stash of fiber fragments and found objects to create one-of-a kind assemblage sculptures. Learn basic wet felting techniques to create new objects such as beads, cords, and hollow forms that can be incorporated or shared with the class. Hand stitching and fiber binding techniques such as couching, lashing, and knotting will be used for practical purposes and for embellishment. Explore methods of improvisational making while piecing together inventive tactile sculptures. All levels welcome.
