Flameworking Two Ways

For the curious beginner, learn about the pros and cons of working with soft glass and borosilicate (hard) glass. First, try making beads and small sculpture from soft glass. Feel how the molten glass moves and flows, what it can do, and what the limitations are. Next, try the same with boro. Feel the difference in your hands of how to shape and sculpt the stiffer material. Learn about COE and annealing schedules for each glass. For the last two days of class, choose your glass and play! No supply fee; glass is availlable for purchase during class. All levels welcome.
