Flameworking Independent Residency
Experienced flamework artists: bring your ideas and project material to our studio, enjoy dorm housing and meals in the dining hall, and experience a week of dedicated, independent creative work in the company of other artists. Each resident will receive a spacious personal workspace in a shared studio and access to shared tools and equipment. Studio monitors will assure the safe and proper use of equipment and schedule firings, but they are not instructors; participants are expected to work independently. The studio monitor will manage the annealing schedules during the week. The studio will be open 24 hours a day; however, for safety reasons, participants must work in pairs after 9 pm.
