Designing in Wood

Taught by:

We will explore the process of designing a piece of furniture from conceptualization to making a scale model. Designing in 3D requires the ability to visualize how the object will look before you actually make it. This class presents a logical step-by-step process towards that end by considering structure, material, and process necessary to undertake a 3D build. Newer woodworkers will benefit especially from learning to understand the internal relationship of the parts of a piece of furniture they wish to build.
