Metalsmithing & Jewelry. Martin Moon. Turkish MetalsmithingBeyond Borders:  A Celebration of International Craft:  African batik, Turkish metalsmithing, Indo-Islamic papermaking - these are among the workshops offered during this special week August 26 - September1, 2018.  In addition to all the regular features of a Snow Farm week (open studio, excellent food), the Beyond Borders program will include evening activities and artist talks that explore connections of craft and culture and a feast of international flavors under the stars on Friday  night.  More

Ceramics. Robbie Lobell. Kitchen to Table PotsExtended-Length Ceramics Workshops:  This year, we are offering two longer ceramics workshops which allow for making, firing and a full exploration of the topics and tecnhiques.  In June, a week + a weekend provides seven days to learn the fundamentals of soda firing, including clay bodies, flashing slips, glaze chemistry and the technical aspects of the kiln.  In October, Robbie Lobell makes an East Coast appearance at Snow Farm for a 9 day workshop on the making and firing of cooking pots with flameware and serving pots with stoneware.
