Snow Farm is a nonprofit organization and we keep our prices as low as possible while offering high value.
The cost of a workshop includes tuition and open studio hours.
Most workshops require an additional supply fee or kit fee. Supply fees cover materials needed for the specific class and are payable at the time of registration. Kit fees can include materials and/or tools and are payable to the instructor during the workshop. Some classes require both a supply fee and kit fee. Most instructors will also ask that students bring a few additional items with them to the class.
A note about jewelry classes: we provide brass, copper, and bronze. In some cases, a class will include silver. In classes that do not include silver, students are welcome to bring their own silver to use during the workshop. Also, stones for jewelry are not provided.
Housing & Meals
Non-residential students can choose to purchase a lunch package for $15/day at the time of registration. Breakfast ($12) and dinner ($18) can be added on any day by arrangment with the on-site coordinator during the workshop.
Friday nights are special at Snow Farm. The week concludes with an exhibit of student work, a pre-dinner reception, a special meal, and a benefit auction that includes work made by students and instructors and Snow Farm gift certificates. All students are welcome to invite guests to this end-of-week celebration and non-residential students may wish to plan on staying late that night. The additional cost for dinner is $18 per person for non-residential students and guests.
Workshop Access Program
The Workshop Access Program (WAP) is intended to help defray the cost of a Snow Farm workshop for people who would not otherwise be able to attend. Eligible students will be able to enroll in select workshops at a 75% discount on tuition when space is available two weeks before the start of class. When workshop spots are available, all students in the WAP will be notified by email and invited to register online. Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note: this program requires flexibility! There is no pre-selection of classes and available offerings will depend on space.
Interested students who meet the household income requirements are can submit an application through March 1, 2019. There is no cost to join and space in the program is not limited; however, accepted students are limited to one class per year. The supply fee, meals, and housing will not be discounted and must be paid at the time of registration. Income requirements are outlined on the application.
Once per year, there is a non-refundable $25 registration fee - except in December! Register early and save $25.
We hope that when you sign up for a workshop, your plans are firm and all goes smoothly for your arrival at Snow Farm. However, we understand that sometimes plans must change. If you need to cancel your workshop more than 30 days from the start date, you will receive a refund, less a $75 cancellation fee and the non-refundable $25 registration fee. No refunds will be giving less than 30 days from the start of the class for cancellations, a missed class, late arrival or early departure for any reason. Occasionally, a class does not meet the minimum enrollment to run, and Snow Farm will need to cancel. In that case, students can choose to take a different workshop or receive a full refund. We notify students about low enrollment about a month before the start date of the class. If your travel plans include airfare or other non-refundable expenses, please check with us about the status your workshop before you finalize your purchases.
