Born in 1965, Trish Hurley spent her formative years in Rockland, MA, and then attended Swain School of Design, where she received her BFA in Painting. Afterwards she worked for 13 years in galleries and frame shops, before returning to UMass/Dartmouth for her MFA in Painting.
Trishs love for the outdoors and interest in nature is her inspiration. She is best known for her landscape paintings, whether 5x5 plein-air sketches, done out in the elements with palette knife or her 5x5 bright, loosely representational larger paintings done with big brushes in the studio.
Trish currently lives in Wakefield, RI and teaches at Community College of Rhode Island as an adjunct professor and at Wickford Art Association teaching Drawing and Painting.
Trishs artwork can be seen at galleries throughout the United States, primarily in NY, NJ, Washington DC and Chicago, Il.
