Patricia Hickman

Pat Hickman lives in the Lower Hudson Valley and her studio is at Garner Arts. Her work is in the Renwick Gallery, Smithsonian Institution, the Oakland Museum, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Denver Art Museum, the Honolulu Academy of Arts, and Hawaii State Art Museum. Her gate commission, Nets of Makali’i–Nets of the Pleiades, stands at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Pat twice received NEA grants. Since 2005, she is a Fellow of the American Craft Council. Pat was president of TSA (2008-2010), on the National Basketry Organization Board, and on the National Arts Advisory Council of the Textile Center in Minneapolis. She curated the traveling exhibits: Innerskins/Outerskins: Gut and Fishskin and Baskets: Redefining Volume and Meaning.
