Kimberly Becker

Kimberly Becker earned a BA in Textiles from RISD, and in the years since she has worked in a cotton mill in Alabama, had her art shown at the Portland Museum of Art, and become a certified Couture Embroiderer trained at Ecole Lesage in Paris. In addition to leading classes in Italy, she has taught stateside at Gather Here, Newton Community Ed, and Society of Arts and Crafts, where she was the Artist in Residence. She was invited twice to be an Artist in Residence in Wyoming at Brush Creek Foundation, and is currently the Curator for the Chocolate Church Gallery in Bath, ME. Her feminist art includes her House Dresses and her Dolls for Change, all proceeds from the which go to Uganda to support educating girls.
