Hannah Niswonger holds an MFA in ceramic sculpture from Alfred University and a BA from Wesleyan University. Her recent work builds on a lifelong love of pattern and image, incorporating painting and printmaking into functional ceramics. She exhibits regularly in galleries and juried craft shows, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art Show, Smithsonian Craft Show and CraftBoston, where she received the Award of Distinction. She is a co-founder and director of Pots On Wheels, POW! a collaborative, mobile education project. She regularly teaches ceramics at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Boston, and lives in Melrose, Massachusetts with her husband, three kids, one dog and two rabbits.
