Ahrong Kim is a New York based artist born in South Korea. She received a BFA in Ceramics from Kon Kuk University in South Korea and an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. Her works have been exhibited at Kristen Lorello, The Clay Studio, George Billis Gallery, Strohl Art Center, Chautauqua Institution, and the Society for Contemporary Craft, among other venues. She has completed residencies at Guldagergaard, Copenhagen, and the Office for the Arts at Harvard University. From 2014-2018 she was an artist in residence at The Clay Studio, where she was also an instructor in ceramic sculpture. Ahrong is the recipient of an Excellence in Clay award from the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show, and received the honor of Best in Show during the 7th Workhouse Clay International, Workhouse Art Center. Her works are included in the collections of the RISD Museum, Fuller Craft Museum, and the Betsy Ross House, among others.
