Workshop Access Program

The Workshop Access Program (WAP) helps make Snow Farm workshops affordable to students who would not otherwise be able to attend. Based on annual household income (see chart below), eligible participants receive a deep discount on workshop tuition. To apply for WAP, candidates fill out a short online form and submit a recent tax return. There is no cost to apply, and up to 30 people can participate in the program.

HOW IT WORKS

  • The application period runs from December 15, 2023 - March 31, 2024.
  • When the application period closes, applications will be reviewed and notified of acceptance in mid-April.
  • If there are more qualified applicants than spaces in the program, awardees will be selected by lottery.
  • Once accepted into the program, participants can register for any workshop that has openings.

When registering for a workshop through the WAP, class tuition is discounted 60%. Supplies, housing, and meals are not discounted and are payable at the time of registration. The cost of housing and meals varies based on the length of the class, the studio, and the type of housing selected.

Terms and Limitations

  • WAP discounts can be applied to one class per calendar year.
  • WAP participants can choose their class and register at any time during the year.
  • WAP discounts cannot be applied retroactively to existing registrations.
  • It is not permissible to register for a class and hold a seat, drop the class, and re-register as a WAP participant.
  • The standard cancellation policy applies to WAP registrations.
  • The WAP discount expires on October 31, 2024. Participants can apply again the next year if they continue to meet the income criteria.

Application deadline: March 31, 2024
