Art & Wellness: A Retreat for the Mind, Body & Soul

New in 2021, Snow Farm is offering a unique opportunity to explore creativity and wellbeing. The Art and Wellness Retreats will combine a daily craft workshop with an array of complementary acitivies in support of wellness for the mind, body, and creative spirit.

Whether you lead with art or with mindfulness, each is a practice that supports and expands the other. The Art & Wellness Retreats welcome yogis who want to get their hands dirty in clay and metalsmiths who want get up from the bench for stretching. If meditation is what grounds you, experience the meditative properties of melting and shaping hot glass or of hand stitching on fabric. If writing is your craft, bring color to your creative life with watercolors or mosaics. These retreats grow from a belief that self-exploration and care, learning new things, and allowing curiosity to blossom are the ways in which people replenish and grow. Whether you have been to Snow Farm many times or never before, the Art and Wellness Retreats open up a holistic integraion of mind, body, and soul, just when we need it more than ever.

Art and Wellness: A Retreat for the Mind, Body and Soul is offered twice: a 5-day format May 16 - 21 and a 4-day version September 16 - 19. Students will select one craft workshop topic for the Retreat (scroll down for choices), which will be held daily from 9:00 am until noon.  All registered students are automatically eligible for any or all of the wellness activities that may offered early morning, afternoon or evening. Ample open studio time is also available in the afternoons and evenings;  when the workshop is done, pick and choose how to spend your time. Wellness activities include yoga, movement, meditation, and a variety of other mindfulness-based activities designed to inspire creativity, resiliency and connectivity. Bonfires, wholesome food, and precious down time for reflection and rest will round out the retreat. Some wellness sessions have limited capacity and will require sign-up approximately one month before the program.

The cost of the wellness retreats is based on the craft workshop.  Choose one workshop below; prices range from $645 to $665 and include all the wellness activites.  Housing and meals is additional and depends on the type of room you choose.
