Learn the historic technique of bobbin lace! This handmade lace textile is created by braiding and twisting lengths of thread wound on wooden dowels known as bobbins. Students will learn the basics stitches of bobbin lace, a variety of torchon lace grounds, how to read and produce simple patterns, and will experiment with lace in an expanded form. In this beginner level class, students will produce a variety of samples and small finished pieces.
