February 23, 2013
Long-time and beloved Snow Farm instructor Mark Ragonese lost his woodworking studio in a devastating fire on Janurary 2, 2013.
A small army of his friends quickly removed his chisels, planes,
turning tools, clamps and anything sharp that would rust, but he has lost many
valued personal possessions. Most importantly, Mark says, he has lost a
place to work.
Mark's optimistic spirit carried him through many weeks after the fire when he
thought he would easily relocate and and get back on his feet. In
navigating the many complications that come with such an unexpected and
dramatic life change, Mark realizes now that he needs help and has turned to
his community. Can you help?
The League of NH Hampshire Craftsmen has set up the Ragonese Rebuilding Fund through the Savings Bank of Walpole. Donations of any size are welcome and will be deeply appreciated.
As a thank you to donors from the Snow Farm community who contribute by the end
of February, Snow Farm will raffle off a $200 gift certificate. After you
donate to the Mark Ragonese Rebuilding Fund, simply send your name to karen@snowfarm-art.org
and you will be entered into a random drawing for the gift certificate (to be
held in early March).
