Cora Lee Drew

Cora Lee Drew, Born in NYC and raised in New England. Moved to Montreal years in 1970 where I apprenticed to a graphic design company called Art House. Left for New York city in 1977 and worked primarily as a graphic designer over the next ten years. Arrived in the Pioneer Valley in 1987 and continued with graphic book design for the next five years. I decided then that I needed to take a break from graphic design and took some odd jobs before settling into interior house painting. I slowly started experimenting with painted wall treatments and in 2002 I took decorative painting with Vitek Kruta. I also learned how to do venetian plaster in Florida. Since then I've continued to expand into murals, trompe l'oeil, and painted furniture. I recently rented a small space at the Cottage Street Studios in Easthampton where I continue to explore and expand this work.
