ROLF HOEG grew up in a house with an eclectic mix of Danish modern and 19th century American, furniture. One could not help to be inspired by the sleek calculated curves of the Danish modern, while simultaneously being drawn to the worn painted decorative finish of a Windsor chair. His furniture is an amalgamation of these styles, uniting the contemporary with the traditional. As a studio craft artist, his focus is on the relationship between the expression of form and function. His work has appeared in many fine craft shows and museum exhibits and in various publications. |
