Michael McCarthy

MICHAEL McCARTHY is a studio potter living and working in the Hilltowns of Western Massachusetts. McCarthy moved to the area in 2000 for a 3 year apprenticeship with potter Mark Shapiro. Since that time, he has continued his focus on utilitarian pottery both on his own and through residencies at Anderson Ranch in Colorado and Altos de Chavon in the Dominican Republic. Locally, McCarthy's work can be seen at Pinch in Northampton, and Ferrin Gallery in Pittsfield, MA.
