Narrative In Clay: An Introduction To Image Making

This indepth workshop explores the theme of personal narrative in clay with the use of images and text. Participants will create their own wheel-thrown or hand-built forms and we will work hands-on with an adapted lithographic process for transferring graphics to greenware. As time permits, additional demonstrations will include an introduction to other image-making techniques such as custom decals, china painting, and developing a cyanotype print on fired ware. Work will be fired, but the emphasis of the class is on process and the exploration of new techniques.
