Rings, rings and more rings. In this two day workshop participants will explore simple fabricating skills to create split shanks out of wire, solid bands using a combination of wire and sheet metal, and hollow form construction to create three-dimensional forms. A brief introduction to simple stone setting techniques will also be covered throughout the duration of the class. Previous soldering experience a plus but is not totally necessary

Bio: Rob Peacock from a young age, found that he always had a fascination with building things with his hands. He was fortunate to attend a high school that had a brass foundry and cast his first piece at the age of 14. He has been working with metal ever since. Rob received his BA in Metalsmithing from the Program in Artisanry, Boston University in 1981 and a Masters in Gold and Silversmithing at SUNY College New Paltz, NY, in 1984. His work has been exhibited nationwide through craft shows and gallery exhibitions.
