Handbuilding With Texture

Explore many different techniques in creating textured surfaces including making your own tools and stamps. Demonstrations will offer construction techniques for functional or sculptural pieces by using paper templates and molds in addition to basic handbuilding skills. We will explore imagery and texture, and sources of inspiration will be discussed. Students will leave with fired tools, molds and bisque fired pieces. Glazing and firing will be discussed and finished work will be glaze fired as time allows. Beginner and intermediate students are welcome.
