Discover The Art Of Mosaics

Using the vibrant colors of traditional Mexican glass "smalti" (colored glass pieces used in mosaic work), learn about the unique design potential of this medium and its rich history. This class will provide an in-depth experience with mosaic design, fabrication and mounting techniques. In addition the instructor will share her recent experiences with large public and private art commissions for tile and mosaic projects. Each student will create their own unique mosaic panel. Depending on the size of the individual project, there may be an additional fee for materials.
