We will explore the more technical side of making bowls and cylinder forms with greater scale and confidence, as well as working on lids, handles, and spouts and the problem of harmonizing these parts and making them function. We will look at what happens after the throwing-trimming, altering and assembling-with a special eye toward creating a consistent and compelling approach that works for you. The throwing of large two part forms will also be shown. Due to time restraints student work will not be fired, however glazing and firing will be discussed. Students should bring packing material for transporting pots
