Books are magical. They nourish the body, mind and spirit as few other objects can. Join us as we explore the art of creating “altered books” and share the magic found in giving discarded books a second creative life. We will view examples of altered books, brainstorm design ideas and celebrate the creative process using collage, found objects and natural forms. Work done during the class will be experimental and will encourage imaginative and personal directions. No previous book arts experience is necessary.
