Accessibility

Snow Farm strives to make its programs and facilities accessible to all visitors and participants. Our dorm buildings were built prior to 1990 and other buildings on campus are much older.  As such, the campus is not fully ADA compliant. However, we often can make adjustments to accommodate individuals. If you have questions about  accessibility, please call our office before you register for a program (413-268-3101).

We hope the following information is helpful in determining if Snow Farm will meet your needs.

  • E dorm is best suited for people with accessibility needs. Please choose room E28.
    • There is handicap parking close to E Dorm, which is also the closest to the dining hall.

    • Room E28 is a standard room that has been modified to have only twin bed and has a ramp into the room.

STUDIOS

  • In addition to general parking near the dorms, there is a parking space near each studio.
  • The flamework studio and 2D/Mixed Media studio each have an entrance with ramp.
  • There is a ramp planned for the farmhouse studio (fiber/baskets) to be installed by summer 2023.  The farmhouse studio also has an accessible bathroom.
  • The other studios (metalsmithing, kiln glass/stained glass/mosaics, ceramics, woodworking, and glassblowing) all have 1 to 4 steps to enter.
  • The pathways between studios are unpaved and may be uneven or grassy.
